The latest frame to be built is a bit of a hybrid road frame. For the most part, the geometry is a pretty standard road geometry. The owner, however, wanted something that he could run a 28mm tire on and not worry about tire rub. The frame that we ended up designing is based on a carbon fork with an axle-to-crown length of 373mm and a 49mm rake. This gives a trail of 57mm which give it a lively feel.
In addition to being set up for a tapered steerer tube, the frame has also been made with internal routing cables. Actually, I should say ‘cable’ as the plan is to run a SRAM eTap groupset on this bike when it is built-up.
The rear dropouts are setup for a 10x142mm rear hub while the fork takes a 12mm thru-axle.
The finish is a simple brush finish with only two beadblasted graphics to keep the design simple and clean.
